CARTHAGE ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
From Lisle, Ill., Matt Malich lettered four times in track and field (1994-97) and was twice named an NCAA Division III All-American with sixth and eighth-place decathlon finishes, respectively, at the 1996 and 1997 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Malich earned All-CCIW honors in 1995 (first place in the high jump and third in the decathlon), 1996 (second place in the high jump) and 1997 (second place in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles). He still holds a Carthage record in the decathlon and the indoor and outdoor high jumps. Malich was also a two-year member of the cross country team.
