From Kenosha, Wis., and Tremper High School, Kim Deaton lettered four times in track and field (1997-2000) and three times in volleyball (1996-98), In track and field, Deaton was a four-time NCAA Division III Outdoor All-American with a sixth-place finish in the 1997 javelin, a seventh-place finish in the 1998 heptathlon, a third-place finish in the 1999 heptathlon and seventh-place finish in the 2000 javelin at the NCAA Division III Women’s Track and Field Championship. She was named a GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American two straight years, second-team in 1999 and first team in 2000. Deaton also lettered three times in volleyball between 1996 and 1998.
