CARTHAGE ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
From Park Ridge, Ill., Jennie Smith lettered four times in softball (1992-95) and is Carthage’s only four-time first-team All-CCIW softball player. Smith is Carthage’s career batting leader (.450) and career leader in hits (147), doubles (29), triples (20), bases on balls (54) and on-base percentage (.522). Smith is tied for first in RBI (99), ranked third in runs scored (87), second in slugging percentage (.688) and third in stolen bases (27). She set season records in 1993 for batting (.528), slugging percentage (.861) and on-base percentage (.573), and a season triples record in 1994 with eight.
