Carthage College Athletics

Diane Everson played volleyball, basketball, softball and badminton in an era when women’s athletics were not officially recognized. As members of the Carthage Women’s Recreation Association, the players sewed their own uniforms and paid for their own travel to compete against other associations. Everson went on to teach and coach in Schaumburg, Ill.
