Carthage College Athletics

From Clinton, Iowa, Fred Lesher lettered four times in football (1954-57) as a running back. He was named Associated Press Little All-America and NAIA All-America in 1955, Peoria Journal-Star all-state in 1956 and 1957. He received his master’s in English from the University of Iowa in 1961 and went on to become an English professor at Wisconsin-La Crosse.
