GREENWOOD — Four Carthage College baseball student-athletes earned spots on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, as announced Tuesday.

Jake Hartman Jr., Ryan Scanlon, Max Cairo, and Bryce Schaum were recognized for their combined excellence on the field and in the classroom. Scanlon and Schaum were additionally named CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot.

The CSC Academic All-District® program honors the nation's top student-athletes for academic and athletic achievement across four divisions: NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees from NCAA Division III are selected through nominations and voting by CSC members.

Finalists named to the Academic All-America® ballot will be eligible for selection to first--, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honors. Results will be announced on Tuesday, July 1.

The Division II and III Academic All-America® programs receive partial financial support from their respective NCAA governance structures, helping fund the awards program administered by CSC. Similarly, the NAIA program receives support from the NAIA governance structure.
