Thursday's game started out as a classic pitcher's duel between the Red Men's
Jeremy Salzman and the Cougars' Kurt Kempema. The two hurlers were locked in a scoreless duel for six innings, with Salzman allowing just five hits and Kempema only four. Carthage broke through with two runs the seventh.
