JOLIET/ROCK ISLAND/LA CROSSE - The Carthage women's track & field team competed in a trio of meets on Friday as part of last chance weekend. The Firebirds featured student-athletes at the St. Francis (Ill.) Fighting Chance Invite, the Augustana Penultimate, and the Wis-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open.
AUGUSTANA PENULTIMATE
Caylene Von-Schilling placed second in the shot put with a mark of 13.28m. Lillian Townsend placed fourth with a throw of 12.35m, while Ava Freund placed sixth at 11.56m. Eiley Schoeneman finished seventh at 11.39m.
Jackie Tuzil placed sixth in the discus throw at 43.98m.
Rose Wagner finished in sixth place in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.28m.
ST. FRANCIS FIGHTING CHANCE INVITE
Kylie Florance finished in 15th place in the 5,000m with a finishing time of 18:33.12.
WIS-LA CROSSE UNCAGED EAGLE OPEN
Mandy Nelson placed 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:22.13.
Christina Hall finished in 10th place in the long jump with a mark of 5.34m.
