KENOSHA, Wis. – Carthage College placed a conference-best 151 student-athletes on the Spring 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday.
The Firebirds led all CCIW institutions in spring academic honorees, followed by Illinois Wesleyan with 134, Augustana with 122 and North Central (Ill.) with 118.
The Spring 2026 Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference Team recognizes student-athletes from baseball, men's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's volleyball, softball, men's tennis, and men's and women's outdoor track and field. To earn the honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 while completing at least two full-time terms.
In addition to leading the conference in Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference selections, Carthage also had two student-athletes recognized with the Spring 2026 Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award. Representing the Firebirds were Logan Westman from the men's golf team and Rose Wagner from the women's outdoor track and field team.
Each CCIW institution selects one male and one female student-athlete each season for the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award. Honorees must maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 while demonstrating excellence both academically and athletically.
The Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference Award is named in honor of former Augustana and CCIW Sports Information Director Dave Wrath, who helped establish the conference's academic recognition programs. The Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award recognizes the legacy of former Wheaton (Ill.) athletics director and CCIW commissioner Jack Swartz.
