NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced its All-CCIW selections, with eight student-athletes from the Carthage College men's lacrosse team earning recognition.
Jake Westland,
Josh Flores and
Henry Arnold were named All-CCIW First Team honorees. Westland, who led the Firebirds with 32 goals, appeared in 16 games and added 21 assists for 53 points. He recorded season highs of four goals against DePauw, eight shots on goal against Elmhurst and three assists against Albion. Westland scored three or more goals in six games and ranked sixth in the conference in assists per game.
Flores, a CCIW Defensive Player of the Week selection, posted a season-best seven caused turnovers against Illinois Wesleyan along with eight ground balls. He finished second in the conference in caused turnovers per game. His weekly honor came during a performance that helped limit Illinois Wesleyan to nine goals, securing Carthage's first win over the Titans since 2017.
Arnold completed the First Team selections after recording season highs of 10 shots and seven shots on goal against Elmhurst. He also totaled three goals and four points against Illinois Wesleyan. Since April 4, Arnold has scored at least one goal in five consecutive games.

Brandon Sawicki,
Ben Thomas and
Rocco Paddack earned All-CCIW Second Team honors.
Mobraaten anchored a defensive unit that ranked second in the conference in penalty killing percentage. He collected 63 ground balls, including a season-best eight against Concordia (Wis.), and ranked ninth in the conference in ground balls per game and fourth in caused turnovers per game.
Sawicki totaled 53 shots and 14 goals on the season. He scored a season-best three goals in the regular-season finale against Carroll (Wis.) and added seven shots with five on goal in that contest.
Thomas went 10-25 in the X and recorded 30 ground balls. He posted a season-best four ground balls against Albion and added three against Illinois Wesleyan.
Paddack rounded out the Second Team selections with 25 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers while appearing in 15 games. He also recorded 20 shots on the season.
Jake Williamson was named Carthage's CCIW RESPECT Award recipient. Williamson logged 947:16 minutes in goal, posting a 10.07 goals-against average with 172 saves. He ranked third in the conference in goals-against average and fourth in save percentage. The CCIW RESPECT Award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate leadership, character and inclusivity on and off the field.
Carthage will face the No. three seed Illinois Wesleyan in the CCIW Tournament on Wednesday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m.
