Curulewski Earns CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week Recognition

NAPERVILLE - Jacob Curulewski of the Carthage men's track & field team has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Rose, a senior from Downers Grove, Ill., broke the Carthage school record in the 5,000m at the Wis-Platteville Invitational on Friday evening with a time of 14:13.57. Curulewski had previously held the record at 14:31.22, which he set during the 2025 season.

Curulewski and the Firebirds return to action on Saturday, April 18 as the squad heads to Wheaton College to compete in the Don Church Twilight. Action begins at 10:30 a.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
