NAPERVILLE, Ill. — With conference play set to begin next month, the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) released their preseason coaches' poll on Friday, selecting Carthage second.

The Firebirds earned 28 total points, finishing just behind Illinois Wesleyan with 36. Carthage has begun their 2021 campaign undefeated through their first four contests for the fourth-straight season after recently taking down the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday 12-6. They'll look to remain undefeated tonight, when they host Southwestern University at 7 p.m. at Art Keller Field (Live Stream | Live Stats).
