KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College men's lacrosse team will face Benedictine University in their final road tilt of the 2017 regular season on Saturday, April 22 at 4:00 p.m. The Red Men take a four-game win streak into their meeting with the Eagles. This includes a home doubleheader sweep of Whittier College (12-2) and North Central College (8-4) on April 15.

The Red Men currently rank seventh in NCAA Division III with a 6.13 scoring defense, and lead the CCIW with a .362 man-up offense.

Andy Meyers ranks third in the country with a .744 faceoff winning percentage, while
Ryan Smith's 6.46 goals against average is seventh.

ABOUT BENEDICTINE UNIVERSITY (5-9, 3-3 MWC)

The Eagles, a member of the Midwest Lacrosse Conference, will enter Saturday's bout with a three-game win streak. Benedictine is in a three-way tie for fourth place in the MWC with Cornell and MSOE. Corbin Bett paces the Eagles in scoring with 52 goals and 13 assists for 65 points. Bett ranks ninth in the country with 3.71 goals per game.

Eagle goalkeeper Sammie Sanko, who has started every game, owns a 9.99 goals against average and a .555 save percentage.

Guy Bourdon is in his second season as Benedictine head men's lacrosse coach. Carthage owns a 3-1 all-time record against the Eagles. This includes an 8-4 loss at Art Keller Field last season.

The Red Men will close their regular season with a three-game home stand. Carthage will face Augustana College (Ill.) on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. before they end the 2017 season against Milwaukee School of Engineering (12:00 p.m.) and Carroll University (Wis.) (4:00 p.m.) on Saturday, April 29.
