KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College men's lacrosse team will face Elmhurst College in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Semifinals at Art Keller Field on Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. The Red Men earned a share of the 2016 CCIW Men's Lacrosse Championship with Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana. Carthage's plus-11 goal differential secured them the #1 seed. Illinois Wesleyan locked the #2 seed and will host #3 Augustana in the other CCIW Semifinal game on Wednesday, May 4 at 4:00 p.m.

The Red Men and Bluejays met last season in the CCIW Semifinals on April 29, 2015. It was a game that saw #1 Carthage defeat #4 Elmhurst 8-4.

Carthage edged Elmhurst College 10-7 this season at Art Keller Field on April 20.

ABOUT ELMHURST COLLEGE (6-10, 2-3 CCIW)

The Bluejays ended the regular season with a 12-6 victory at the University of Dubuque on April 30. Elmhurst's other CCIW victory this season came in a 1-0 forfeit-decision over Carroll University on April 27.

Mac Harden paces the Bluejay scoring with 31 goals and 13 assists for 44 points. Jackson Mandli owns 25 points on the season while Matt Westhaver carries 24. Kalani Flowers commands the Elmhurst defense with 18 caused turnovers. Dan Curley leads Elmhurst with 58 ground balls on the season.

Nick Bonastia has started 12 games in net for the Bluejays this season. He carries a 10.46 goals against average, and a .544 save percentage. Bonastia's .544 save percentage leads the CCIW.

As a team, the Bluejays are 16-for-70 on man-up chances this season. They also committed 30 penalties for a total of 25 minutes.

Dylan Harris leads the Red Men in scoring with 27 goals and 21 assists for 48 points this season.
Jared Ferrell and
Andy Szun trail Harris with 39 and 38 points respectively.
Justin Proctor paces the Red Men with 68 ground balls, and 118 won face-offs this season.
Ryan Smith leads the Carthage goalkeepers with an 8.07 goals against average, and a .544 save percentage.

Jordyn Williams landed CCIW Defensive Player of the Year on Monday afternoon. Williams earned that same honor in 2014 with the Midwest Lacrosse Conference. The Laguna Hills, California native owns 25 caused turnovers this season. His 142 career caused turnovers ranks first in the Carthage record books.
