Men's Lacrosse Upends Fontbonne, 16-3, on April 13

Red Men Play Host to Concordia (Wis.) on Wednesday

Box Score The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (10-2, 5-0 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) remains undefeated in Midwest Lacrosse Conference play after upending Fontbonne University (8-5, 4-3 MLC), 16-3, on Saturday, April 13 at Art Keller Field.  The men's game, part of a Carthage lacrosse tripleheader, was sandwiched in between a pair of Carthage women's contests.
 
In the Red Men's win over Fontbonne, Carthage led, 4-1, after the first period, 7-1, at halftime, and 14-2 going into the final period.  Danny Morse (Jr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) led the Red Men with five goals, while Peter Slefinger (Sr., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) scored four goals.  Hunter Douglas (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) collected 15 ground balls and was 19-for-23 in faceoffs.   Goalkeeper James Fleming (So., Newport Beach, Calif./Servite) collected 11 saves. 

Carthage plays host to conference-opponent Concordia University (Wis., 7-5, 4-2 MLC) on Wednesday, April 17 in a 7 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
