Carthage Men's Lacrosse Drops 2010 Season-Finale to Fontbonne, 11-10

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (8-6, 2-4 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) lost its 2010 season-finale to MLC-opponent Fontbonne University (6-9, 3-2 MLC), 11-10, on Saturday morning, May 1 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. The Fontbonne contest was started on Friday night, April 30 but suspended with 1:30 left to play and the Griffins leading by an 11-9 margin.

The Red Men had an 8-6 lead erased, as the Griffins outscored them, 5-2, over the final two minutes of the third period and into the final period. Fontbonne had a 31-22 edge in shots, while Carthage had the margin in ground balls. 44-36. Ray Medalla and Brooks McGee each had three goals for Fontbonne. Keegan Bowman (So., New Westminster, British Columbia) led the Red Men with four goals.
