Men's Track & Field Earns All-Academic Honors From USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS - The Carthage men's track & field team has been recognized in the 2026 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Track & Field All-Academic Awards, the Association announced Monday.

The Firebirds received the All-Academic team award, finishing with a 3.19 cumulative GPA at the end of the 2025-26 season. Three student-athletes were also recognized as All-Academic Student-Athletes by USTFCCCA. The student-athletes who received individual recognition included Jacob Curulewski (English), Harlan Matson (Criminal Justice), and Jack Tilton (Engineering).

The All-Academic Team awards are given to any program achieving a combined cumulative GPA of 3.10 or higher. For the individual honors, each student-athlete must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while either being listed in the top 50 of their event on TFRRS, or a member of a top-30 relay team.
