#17 Men's Track and Field

Men's Track & Field Jumps 33 Spots in Latest USTFCCCA National Rankings

NEW ORLEANS - The Carthage men's track & field team has been ranked No. 17 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III National Rankings, the association announced Tuesday.

The Firebirds jumped 33 spots following the team's third place performance at the CCIW Championships on May 1-2. 

Tyler Rose leads the way with the top throw in the country in discus with a mark of 59.44m. Rose also ranks 14th in the shot put with a season best mark of 17.34m. Jacob Curulewski ranks 12th in the 10,000m with a time of 29:43.54 and 18th in the 5,000m at 14:13.57. Jack Tilton ranks 12th in the high jump with a mark of 2.06m, while Camron Foster ranks 24th in the event at 2.03m. 

Other performances that contributed to the Firebirds ranking include Dylan Parker in the 400m (47.53), Foster in the triple jump (14.34m), Rose in the hammer throw (55.02m), and Harlan Matson in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:19.37).
