Foster and Parker Sweep CCIW Track & Field Weekly Honors

NAPERVILLE - Camron Foster and Dylan Parker of the Carthage men's track & field team have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Foster, a freshman from Skokie, Ill., was named CCIW Field Student-Athlete of the Week following a first-place performance in the high jump at the Wis-Whitewater Drake Alternative with a mark of 2.03m. The mark is currently tied for first place in the CCIW and ranks 20th at the NCAA Division III level.

Parker, a junior from Skokie, Ill., reset the Carthage school record in the 400m at the Drake Relays on Friday with a time of 47.53 seconds. Parker's time ranks second in the CCIW and 23rd at the D-III level.

The Firebirds will host the CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Art Keller Field on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
