"I am super proud of how our team competed all season long and this weekend was no different," said Head Coach Josh Henry. "The opportunity to compete at the CCIW Championships on our home track really inspired us to compete at our highest level. Six individual conference titles from five different athletes in this conference is an incredible accomplishment. The fact that those performances came from the sprints, jumps, throws, and distance events shows the versatility of this group. Additionally, two school records, including a national leading mark, and twelve top 10 program marks shows the strength of this team and quality of performances this weekend. I would like to thank our seniors and coaching staff who've done an incredible job of leading the way. The program is in a great place and I'm excited to see what else we can accomplish this season and beyond. Lastly, I'd like to thank our alumni who came from far and wide to support us this weekend. Once a bird, always a bird."
The Firebirds will return to action on Friday, May 8 at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite and the Augustana Penultimate. For more information, visit
