ROCK ISLAND/LA CROSSE - The Carthage men's track & field team competed in a pair of last chance meets on Wednesday and Thursday at Augustana College and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The Firebirds saw several strong performances in the finale of last chance week before the selection lists finalized for the NCAA Championships.



AUGUSTANA TWILIGHT

Jacob Curulewski placed fifth in the 1,500m with a personal best time of 3:59.94.

Jack Tilton finished in third place in the high jump with a mark of 2.01m.

WIS-LA CROSSE FINAL QUALIFIER

Tyler Rose won the discus throw with a mark of 54.07m.

Harlon Matson placed fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:15.35.



The Firebirds will wait to learn which student-athletes will punch their tickets to the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Selections are scheduled to release on Friday, May 15. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
