Grigsby-Taylor '06 Named to USTFCCCA Division III Hall of Fame

NEW ORLEANS - Carthage women's track & field standout Shea'na Grigsby-Taylor '06 has been named a member of the United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Athlete Hall of Fame Class of 2026, the association announced Wednesday.

Grigsby-Taylor was inducted as part of a class of six student-athletes who competed at the Division III. The former Carthage athlete is joined by Matt Groosh (Wis-Oshkosh), Patrick Ahern (St. Thomas (Minn.)), Rahiem Greenridge (Wheaton (Mass.)), Kim (Marino) Kryscnsky (Stockton), and Carter Hamill (Amherst).

A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Grigsby won eight national championships over her four-year career, including three-straight titles in the outdoor 100-meter high hurdles from 2004 to 2006, three-consecutive titles in the indoor 55-meter high hurdles from 2004 to 2006 and the 2006 title in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles.

"We are very happy for Sheana on her recent induction into the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame," said Head Coach Stephanie Domin. "I was lucky to witness Sheana as a student-athlete over the years at Carthage. She was a fierce competitor, an athlete that worked hard every day of her career and a leader. Former Head Coach Steve Ray also deserves some recognition as he guided Sheana in the hurdles and was a huge part of her success and motivation. We are very proud to celebrate Sheana's history and the outstanding impact she made on our program as the most decorated female athlete. She is an amazing woman that continues to lead in life's journey."

Grigsby was also part of a national-championship 400-meter relay team in 2003. She earned 17 NCAA All-America citations, 12 outdoors and five indoors. Grigsby was named United States Track Coaches Association "NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Performer of the Year" in 2004 and named CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship MVP in 2003, 2005 and 2006.

She won 11 individual CCIW titles, including four-straight titles in the outdoor 100-meter high hurdles, four-straight in the outdoor 400-meter intermediate hurdles and three-straight titles in the indoor 55-meter high hurdles.
