KENOSHA – The Carthage women's track & field team returned to action in the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center Fieldhouse for the Firebird Finale. The Firebirds celebrated their seniors and closed out the indoor season.
SPRINTS
Anna Kegel ran a season-best time of 7.49 in the 55-meter dash to take first place.
Lyla Unzicker followed with a third-place finish, clocking a time of 7.84.
The Firebirds swept the 200-meter dash, claiming the top three spots. Shaylen Quinn led the pack with a first-place finish in 27.91. Angelina Gersch finished second with a season-best time of 28.13, while Kegel placed third in 28.22.
In the 400-meter dash, Quinn recorded a personal-best time of 1:03.88 to place third.
DISTANCE
In the 800-meter run,
Natalie Forward and
Allison Hunt finished first and second with times of 2:30.26 and 2:30.53, respectively, with Hunt setting a personal best.
Jessie Pakaski ran a personal-best time of 5:19.67 to win the mile. Kylie Florance followed in second place with a personal-best time of 5:23.33.
JUMPS
Christina Hall placed second in the long jump with a mark of 5.48 meters.
THROWS
Madison Payne won the shot put with a mark of 12.87 meters.
Lillian Townsend finished third with a throw of 12.33 meters.
Payne also captured first place in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 17.18 meters.
NCAA Performance List
Madison Payne ranks 13th on the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Qualifying List in the shot put. Payne also ranks 19th in the weight throw, following the 17.18-meter mark recorded at this meet.
