Rose's final throw of the day marked at 17.73m, holding Rose in 16th place and securing Second Team All-American honors in the event.

400 METER DASH

Parker competed in Heat 1 of the 400m dash against Grant Nelson (Bethel), Brock DeBello (Wabash), and Dylan Terpstra (Hope). Parker opened the first 200m lap in second place with a split of 22.63 seconds, just .13 behind Nelson. Parker held his second place position to the finish line, ending the heat in a Carthage record breaking time of 47.87 seconds. Parker held his second place position through Heat 2 and slid to fourth place after Heat 3 after being passed by Collin Conzemius (Wis-La Crosse) and Cameron Elliot (Wittenberg). Parker would end the day in fourth place and qualify for the finals race on Saturday.

Coach's Remarks

"Definitely not the result we wanted for today nor is it accurate of what I think Tyler was capable of this weekend," said Assistant Coach Greg Raimondi. "[It's] always hard to have a bad day at such a big meet but it happens. This result doesn't take away from all the other great things Tyler accomplished this season and I couldn't be more proud of him.  This will be a good learning experience for him and one that will help him be better in these moments."
