Rose Earns Second Consecutive CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week Award

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Tyler Rose of the Carthage men's track & field team was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week, the CCIW announced Wednesday.

Rose, a senior from Naperville, Ill., placed second in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 19.10m at the Ripon Red Hawk Opener on Friday, Jan. 23 in Ripon, Wis. Rose now ranks fourth at the NCAA Division II level in the event. In the shot put, Rose placed fourth with a mark of 15.11m.

The Firebirds return to action on Friday, Jan. 30 at the Squig Converse hosted by Wis-Whitewater in Whitewater, Wis. Action begins at 11 a.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
