Coach's Remarks

"I felt like we had a strong meet as a team with a pretty well rounded performance," said Head Coach Josh Henry. "However, we definitely weren't as sharp as we were in December coming off of the holiday break. This was to be expected and I liked how we approached the day. We just need some more specific work now that we're back on campus. I expect to see a big jump in performance for everyone on the team over the next couple of weeks. That doesn't mean the day was without highlights. We saw some big improvements from Dylan in the 400m and Tyler in the shot put. Overall we're looking forward to another week of training and the next opportunity to compete at Ripon"

Carthage men's track & field returns to action on Friday, Jan. 23 at the Red Hawk Open hosted by Ripon in Ripon, Wis. at 4 p.m. The Firebirds return to the Tarble Athletic & Recreation Center on Feb. 6 to host the Tadd Metzger Invite and Multi. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
