KANSAS CITY — Carthage men's basketball student-athlete Ryan Johnson was named to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List for the 2025-26 season, as announced by the National Awards Committee and Small College Basketball.
The Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List features some of the top players across small college basketball, spanning NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA programs.
The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who delivers the finest overall season within small college basketball. Considerations include season statistics, individual achievements, awards, personal character and team success. The honor is among the most prestigious in the sport, with only one player selected each season. The 2026 season marks the tenth year of the Bevo Francis Award.
A junior from Oswego, Ill., Johnson is averaging 13 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game, while adding 33 assists. He ranks second in the conference in double-doubles, first in free throws and free throw attempts, and second in total rebounds and rebounds per game. Nationally, Johnson ranks 13th in double-doubles.
Carthage returns to action Saturday, Jan. 17, when it travels to Millikin for a 4:15 p.m. tipoff.
