KENOSHA — The Carthage College men's basketball team received votes in the D3hoops.com Men's Top 25 Week Six poll, marking its return to the national rankings discussion.
Carthage enters the week riding a six-game winning streak, highlighted by victories over Wheaton (Ill.) 77-59, Olivet 92-82, Edgewood 78-58, Benedictine (Ill.) 100-60, Elmhurst 80-65 and North Central (Ill.) 69-61.
Individually, Ryan Johnson has been a consistent force in conference play, ranking first in free throws made and second in double-doubles, free throw attempts, free throw percentage and rebounds per game. Riley Brooks ranks second in free throw percentage, fifth in points per game, third in three-point attempts and second in three-point percentage, while leading the league in three-pointers per game. Brooks also tied for the second-most three-pointers made in a single game with nine against Olivet.
As a team, Carthage leads the conference in defensive rebounds per game and ranks third in scoring offense.
