KENOSHA— The Carthage College men's lacrosse team has been named to the 2025 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Academic Team list. The Firebirds earned the recognition by achieving a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.
In addition to the team accolade,
Andrew Frey was named to the USILA Scholar Academic All-America list. The senior midfielder from Broomfield, Colorado, excelled both on the field and in the classroom, becoming one of the top performers for the Firebirds in the 2025 season.
Frey appeared in all 15 contests for Carthage, recording 138 total shots, 79 shots on goal, 35 goals, and eight assists for 43 points. He notched a season-best five goals in the Firebirds' win over Hendrix on Feb. 1.
The USILA Academic awards recognize student-athletes and teams for outstanding academic achievement and are part of the organization's ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in collegiate lacrosse.
