Brost, Leal, and Upmann Earn All-Region Honors From USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS - Three members of the Carthage men's track & field team have been named to the 2025 All-Region team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the association announced Wednesday. Jacob Brost, Lucas Leal, and Chase Upmann represented the Firebirds in this year's All-Region teams.

Brost, a junior from Janesville, Wis., ranks third in the North Region in the javelin throw with a mark of 60.10 meters.

Leal, a graduate student from Bartlett, Ill., ranks third in the hammer throw in the North Region with a mark of 61.28m. Leal also qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.

Upmann, a graduate student from Rockford, Ill., ranks second in the 800m for the North Region with a time of 1:51.12.

Leal will represent the Firebirds on Saturday, May 24 in Geneva, Ohio. The men's hammer throw is scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. EST. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
