NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has named Carthage College student-athlete Ryan Johnson as the Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.

Johnson, from Oswego, Ill., averaged a double-double last week, posting 22 points and nine rebounds against North Central (Ill.) on Wednesday and recorded 24 points and 11 rebounds against Wheaton (Ill.) on Saturday earning his eigthth double-double of the season. The sophomore was efficient from the free throw line, going 10-of-13 on Wednesday and 5-of-6 on Saturday. 

Johnson currently ranks eighth in the conference in scoring (14.9 points per game), leads the CCIW in rebounding (9.1 per game), is third in blocked shots (1.1 per game), and stands ninth in free throw percentage (73%).

Carthage has their final regular season home game on Wednesday, February 19 playing Elmhurst at 7 p.m.
