Kenosha, Wis. – The Carthage College men's basketball team was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for its success in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, earning the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes programs that posted a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.
In addition to the team honor, eight Firebirds were named to the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court, which recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball student-athletes who finished the academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The NABC annually recognizes outstanding academic achievement by men's college basketball programs and student-athletes across all levels of collegiate basketball.
More than 2,300 student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court, while more than 400 programs earned NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards.
