KENOSHA - The Carthage men's swimming and diving team hosted the Private College Championships Friday and Saturday. The diving championships were held on Friday and the swimming championships followed on Saturday.

In the Diving competition Taydin Murphy took third place in the one meter dive with a score of 379 and second place in the three meter dive with a score 373.65. 

The Firebirds team of William Murray, Matija Simic, Max Robinson, and Conner Hwang took first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:26.65.

Ben Keller and Tyson Politsch went first and second place in the 500 yard freestyle with times of 4:48.18 and 4:50.38. 

In the 200 yard IM, Wyatt Fredeen, Hwang, and Robinson took the top three spots with times of 1:56.56, 1:58.84, and 1:59.37.

Christian Snyder and Logan Dales went one and two in the 50 yard freestyle with times of 21.58 and 21.65.

The Firebirds team of Hwang, Paul Busse, Snyder, and Dales took first place in the 400 yard medley relay in a time of 3:28.67.

Fredeen and Jackson Morris went one and two in the 400 yard IM in times of 4:11.91 and 4:24.12.

Hwang took first place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 52.19.

In the 200 yard freestyle, Keller and Busse took second and third place with times of 1:45.39 and 1:46.16.

In the 100 yard breaststroke, Murray and Morris went one and two clocking in times of 58.96 and 1:01.42.

Snyder clocked in a time of 54.54 in the 100 yard backstroke for a third place finish. 

The Firebirds team of Dales, Tyson Politsch, Hwang, and Snyder clocked in a time of 1:36.06 for a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. 

Hwang took the gold in the 1650 yard freestyle in a time of 17:56.21.

The Firebirds took the three top spots in the 200 yard backstroke with Keller in first, Busse in second, and Aaron Shibilski in third place. 

Dales placed third in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 47.82.

Politsch and Morris went one and two in the 200 yard breaststroke with times of 2:11.44 and 2:12.67.

Snyder took the gold in the 200 yard butterfly clocking in a time of 1:57.55.

Clocking in at a time of 3:11.00, the Firebirds team of Snyder, Keller, Aidan Nord, and Dales took first place in the 400 yard freestyle relay. 




The Firebirds return back to action on Wednesday, February 19, as the squad is set to host the CCIW Swimming and Diving Championships. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
