NAPERVILLE - The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Men's Swimming and Diving Student-Athletes of the Week.
AJ Landorf and
Kevin Sarazin of the Carthage Men's Swimming and Diving team were named the CCIW Men's Swimming and Diving Student-Athletes of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Landorf, a freshman from Naperville, Ill., delivered a standout performance at the Wisconsin Private College Championship this past weekend. Competing individually, Landorf captured first place in all three events—the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard butterfly, and 400-yard IM—highlighted by a personal-best time of 1:56.80 in the 200-yard butterfly. Landorf also played a key role on the Firebirds' relay teams, swimming in the 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay, and 400-yard medley relay, with all three relays finishing in first place.
Sarazin, a junior from Blaine, Minn., competed in both diving events at the Wisconsin Private College Championships this past weekend. Sarazin scored 265.55 on the 1-meter board to place eighth, then followed with a score of 285.45 on the 3-meter board, finishing fifth overall.
The Firebirds gear up for the CCIW Diving Championships on Friday, February 13. Carthage will host the Championships, with action beginning at 6 p.m. For more information, visit our
