Coach's Remarks

"I couldn't be more proud of how Joseph represented himself and this program today," said Director of Strength & Conditioning and Assistant Track & Field Coach Greg Raimondi. "He was one of 12 who qualified for the meet and managed to make the final.  He wanted more out of himself but his performances the last two weeks during competitions has been a testament to the athlete he has grown into.  What Joseph has been able to accomplish this season is truly incredible and this experience will only help him as we head into the CCIW and NCAA championships. Seeing Joseph compete amongst the top throwers in the country while managing to stay calm, composed, and mentally focused was the highlight for me as his coach.  He has much more left in the tank  for this event and I think this was a big step in the direction of seeing that soon."
