KENOSHA - The Carthage College men's swimming and diving team competed in the three day Carthage Classic. The three day meet was broken up into a total of 5 swimming sessions and one diving session. The Firebirds took first out of seven teams.

Thursday - (12/5)

Clocking in at a time of 6:57.65, the Firebirds relay team of Max Robinson, Conner Hwang, Paul Busse, and Aidan Nord took the gold in the 800 yard freestyle relay.

Robinson placed third in the 1650 yard freestyle in a time of 16:50.48.

Friday - (12/6)

The Firebirds relay team of Hwang, Jacob Hardt, Christian Snyder, and Logan Dales took first place in the 400 yard medley relay, clocking in a time of 3:26.22.

Busse placed first place in the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:54.47.

In the 100 yard freestyle, Snyder took third place swimming a time of 47.06.

Ben Keller took second place in the 200 yard backstroke clocking in 1:57.74.

Busse added to his medal count with a first place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke, finishing in a time of 2:06.74.

Snyder took the gold in the 100 yard butterfly swimming 49.94.

Robinson placed third in the 500 yard freestyle clocking in a time of 4:48.06.

The Firebirds relay team of Snyder, Hardt, Nord, and Dales took the gold in the 200 yard freestyle relay swimming 1:25.03.

Saturday - (12/7)

Taydin Murphy took the gold in both the three meter and one meter dives with total scores of 377.50 and 385.65.

The Firebirds team of Hwang, Hardt, Snyder, and Dales took the gold in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:33.45.

Busse and Wyatt Fredeen took first and third place in the 400 yard IM with times of 4:05.62 and 4:15.27.

Robinson swam 1:45.13 for a third place finish in the 200 yard freestyle.

In the 100 yard backstroke, Dales swam 53.79 for a third place finish. 

Tyson Politsch clocked in 57.64 for a second place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Snyder and Hwang went second and third in the 200 yard butterfly with times of 1:54.97 and 1:55.40.

Dales took third place in the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 21.56.

The Firebirds team of Nord, Robinson, Snyder, and Dales took the gold in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:07.20.
