Coach's Remarks

"It was a great meet for us today - so many things to be excited about," said Head Coach Josh Henry. "I was proud of how the guys competed and they continue to be a fun group. I'll stick to the three main highlights today.

1. Mac [Anderson] tied Kendric Cornelius' 60m school record in the prelims with a 6.97 and then made it his own in finals with a time of 6.91. He currently leads the CCIW and is tied for 21st nationally.

2. Chase [Upmann] broke his own indoor 800m school record running 1:53.18. This time also currently paces the CCIW and is ranked 4th nationally.

3. Freshman Zebulon [Turner] crushed his high jump PR from last week of 6'1.25", jumping 6'7.75" this week. That mark currently ranks 3rd in school history behind a few Carthage legends in Trevor James and Matt Malich. It also currently leads the CCIW and is tied for 4th nationally.

All in all, a great day to be a Firebird! We're looking forward to the next one at home in the TARC. Go Birds!"
