2023-24 Indoor Track and Field: Competed in eight meets for the Firebirds...Ran a 3:27.54 in the 4x400 at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championships...Ran a 23.66 in the 200m at the Parkside Classic. 

2023 (Track and Field): Participated in 14 meets during the indoor and outdoor seasons ... Took first place in the 600m at the Tadd Metzger Invitational, with a time of 1:27.46 ... Placed first at the Parkside Classic, with a time of 52.89 in the 400m...Received CCIW Dave Wrath All-Academic honors.



2022 (Track and Field): Participated in 13 meets during the indoor and outdoor seasons ... Took first place in the 400m at the 2022 Warrior Invitational, with a time of 51.66... Placed first at the Tadd Metzger Invitational, with a time of 1:28.64 in the 600m...Received CCIW All Academic honors...Earned CCIW All-Confererence in the 4x400. 

2021 (Soccer): Appeared in 17 matches for the Firebirds, making three starts ... Scored two goals within minutes of each other in a win at Wisconsin-Eau Claire on October 17 ... Registered assists against Augustana on October 9, and Elmhurst on October 27.

2021 Spring (Soccer): Played in three of Carthage's spring competitions ... Scored his first collegiate goal against Trinity International on May 8.

High School: Played soccer for head coach Nick Trotter at Bolingbrook High School ... A three-time team MVP ... Named the conference athlete of the year as a senior ... All-sectional honoree his senior year ... A three-time all-conference award winner ... Lettered in track and field and football as well ... Member of the National Honor Society ... Received the conference academic award in 2018 and 2019.

Personal: Majoring in engineering ... Son of Amy and Tony Balas ... Plays club soccer for the Bolingbrook Raiders under head coach John Sidman.
