Bulatovic Lands Spot on Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Carthage College men's basketball senior guard Fillip Bulatovic was recognized as part of the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List announced by Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee Sunday, January 15. Bulatovic is one of five College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin student-athletes named to the watch list.

Bulatovic leads the Firebirds in points this season with 18.5 per game and rebounds with 8.1. In the conference, the senior from Harwood Heights, Ill., ranks fourth in assists (4.1), third in double-doubles (3), third in points per game (18.5), and fourth in rebounds per game (8.1).

The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character, and team achievements. This is an incredibly prestigious award, as this award will only be given to one player within Small College Basketball per season.

On February 15, the Top 100 Watch List will reduce to the Top 50 players, followed by the Top 25 players being announced on March 15. On April 1, the finalists of this year's award will be announced, and the Bevo Francis Award winner being announced on April 3.

The Firebirds begin the week at home facing North Central (Ill.) on Wednesday, January 18, at 7 p.m.
