OSHKOSH, Wis. - An accomplished group of throwers from the Carthage Firebirds women's track and field program competed today in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Many of the team's throwers recorded personal bests today, including reigning College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Track & Field Women's Field Student-Athlete of the Week

"The small group of throwers we took to this meet did an amazing job ending our fall training on a high note," said Carthage Athletics Class of 2022 Hall of Famer and assistant track & field coach
Greg Raimondi.
"On the women's side we had a handful of PRs across the board, highlighted by
Aubrey Schoeneman, who improved her NCAA ranking and moved to fifth all time on our top ten list for the shot put."
"I am excited for the potential of our throws group if this is the success we are having in December. We are looking forward to starting back up already as the group heads home this week after finals for winter break."
- The women's track & field program will take a little over a month off from competition during winter break before resuming for the Firebird First on Saturday, January 14 beginning at 11 a.m.
