Hanover and Cornell on Red Men's Docket This Week

 


KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (6-2, 0-0 CCIW) will face Hanover College on Wednesday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m. (ET) in a road game before they return to Art Keller Field on Saturday, March 25 for a 4:00 p.m. match against Cornell College. The Red Men saw their four-game win streak end with a 16-4 loss to Aurora University on March 18.
 
Andy Szun paces Carthage in scoring with 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points on the season. Connor Nelson leads the team with 14 caused turnovers while Andy Meyers commands the face-off efforts with an 86-107 (.804) figure.
 
ABOUT HANOVER COLLEGE (1-6, 0-1 ORLC)
 
The Panthers lone win on the season occurred in a 15-10 decision over Wilimington (Ohio) on March 11. Brock Warner (11), Chad Szczublewski (10) and Bret Schell (10) make up the trio of Hanover players with double-digit points this season. Goalkeeper Noah Dubrava has started all seven games for the Panthers. He carries an 8.86 goals against average and a .627 save percentage.
 
Carthage will look to keep their 5-0 all-time record intact against Hanover. Skip Lichtfuss is the Panthers' head men's lacrosse coach.
 
ABOUT CORNELL COLLEGE (4-2, 1-0 MLC)
 
The Rams will enter their bout with Carthage off a 17-18 win over Wabash College on March 15. Cornell's blemishes this season occurred in a 16-9 loss to Augustana on February 19, and a 12-5 defeat to Centre College on March 13.
 
A.J. Fisher leads Cornell in scoring with 17 goals and seven assists for 24 points. Evan Bush rounds out the Rams 20+ point scorers with 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points. Goalkeeper Evan Kedjidjian owns a 9.27 goals against average and a .528 save percentage in four starts on the season.
 
Carthage owns a 2-0 all-time record against Cornell College. Andrew Bonasera is in his third year as Cornell head men's lacrosse coach.

The Red Men will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. to face Williams College in a neutral-site game on Friday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m. (MT). They will play host Colorado College on Saturday, April 1 at 12:00 p.m. (MT).
