KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (6-1, 1-0 CCIW) will face Aurora University in a road game on Saturday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m. A five-game win streak is at stake for a Red Men team that fell to the Spartans 13-9 at Art Keller Field last season.

Carthage opened CCIW play with a 15-2 victory over the University of Dubuque on March 11 to push their win streak to four.

Andy Meyers leads NCAA Division III with an .819 face-off winning percentage. The Red Men's .770 face-off winning percentage ranks second in the country. As a team, Carthage ranks fourth nationally in scoring defense (4.43), fifth in assists (58), sixth in scoring margin (8.57) and eighth in ground balls (270).

ABOUT AURORA UNIVERSITY (7-1, 2-0 MLC)

The Spartan's lone blemish this season occurred in a 16-2 loss at York College of Pennsylvania on February 25. A seven-game win streak and an undefeated mark against CCIW teams is at stake for Aurora. The Spartans defeated Illinois Wesleyan 14-10 on February 18, and Elmhurst College 7-5 on March 15.

Trevor McNamara leads the Spartans in scoring with 15 goals and nine assists for 24 points. Bailey Smith (22 points) and Jason Koziol (22) round out the Aurora players with 20+ points on the season. Goalkeeper Tyler Lombardi, who's started all eight games, owns an 8.33 goals against average and a .541 save percentage.

The Red Men carry an 0-8 all-time record against the Spartans. Kylor Berkman is in his sixth season as Aurora head men's lacrosse coach.
