KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (5-6, 1-0 CCIW) will look to snap a three-game losing skid against Whittier College at Art Keller Field on Friday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. Whittier College is located in Whittier, Calif.
 
ABOUT WHITTIER COLLEGE (7-2)
 
The Poets enter their contest with Carthage riding a four-game win streak. This includes an 18-7 victory over DePauw on March 22, and an 18-9 decision against Elmhurst College on March 25. Whittier's meeting with Carthage is the first of a two-game swing in the Midwest. The Poets will travel to Aurora College on Sunday, April 10.
 
Maxwell Jones (12g, 14a, 26p), Jonathan Kassity (16g, 5a, 21p) and Matt Symes (14g, 6a, 20p) round out the Poets with 20+ points on the season. Scott Pescheret has won 141-of-207 faceoffs for the Poets and leads the troops with 84 ground balls on the season.
 
Nathan Kleponis has seen a bulk of the time in net for the Poets. He carries an 8.49 goals against average, and a .491 save percentage in 572:35 of work on the season. As a team, Whittier is 147-of-222 on clears, and 7-of-26 on man-up opportunities.
 
Brian Kelly owns a 31-34 record in six seasons as Whittier College head coach.
 
CARTHAGE
 
Dylan Harris leads the Red Men with 19 goals and 16 assists for 35 points on the season. Ryan Smith has started seven games in net this season and owns a 7.45 goals against average, and a .530 save percentage in 435:11 of work.
 
As a team, the Red Men are 12-of-44 on man-up opportunities, and 182-of-224 on clears this season.
