The Carthage College women's soccer team (3-0-1, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) remains undefeated after four games following a 3-1 win over Wisconsin-Platteville (4-2) on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Loras College/Wisconsin-Platteville Tournament at Loras' Rock Bowl in Dubuque, Iowa. The Pioneers came into the game with a four-game winning streak.
Rachel Jason (So., Deerfield, Ill.) and Katy Rosenbrook (Jr., Woodbury, Minn.) scored first-period goals for the Lady Reds at 9:36 and 23:54, respectively. Sarah Eck got Wisconsin-Platteville on the board late in the first half at 43:33. Carthage scored its final goal at 67:37 in the second half when the Pioneers knocked a ball into their own net. The Lady Reds take on No. 24 Loras (4-0) on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m.
