KENOSHA — The Carthage women's soccer team kicked off day one of the Battle of the Border, welcoming Bethel, Kalamazoo, and Concordia Wisconsin to Art Keller Field. The Firebirds faced Concordia Wisconsin in the opening match, battling the Falcons to a scoreless draw.

- The Firebirds set the tone, generating chances and forcing the Falcons' goalkeeper into action early. Eve Hockerman and Jadynn Kramer each put dangerous shots on frame in the first half, but were denied by standout saves.
- Carthage continued to push in the second half, with Jess Beymer and Ruby Hillegass testing the Falcon defense. Late efforts from Bella Fusco and Reese Staniak nearly provided the breakthrough, but the Falcons managed to hold on, resulting in a 0-0 tie.
- Ainsley Stallworth recorded six saves in goal.
- The Firebirds collected 12 shots, six on goal.
