The Carthage College women's water polo team (0-1) lost to Wheaton College (Ill.), 6-5, on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wis. Patti Blatter (Sr., Prospect Heights, Ill./Wheeling) had a goal, three assists and four steals. Kimmy Genian (Jr., Gurnee, Ill./Highland Park) collected two goals and two steals, while Jessica Shopiro (Sr., Buffalo Grove, Ill..Lincolnshire-Stevenson) had three steals. Goal keeper LeChee Singleton (So., Burbank, Calif.) had 15 saves.

The Lady Reds travel to Pennsylvania on Saturday-Sunday, March 6-7 to play in a pair of tournaments. On Saturday, March 6, Carthage appears in the Chatham University Quadrangular in Pittsburgh, Pa., taking on Wheaton (Ill.) at 9 a.m. (all times EST), Grove City College at 1:30 p.m. and Chatham at 4:30 p.m. On Sunday, March 7, the Lady Reds participate in the Washington & Jefferson University Triangular in Washington, Pa., playing Macalester College at 9 a.m. and Washington & Jefferson at 1:30 p.m.
