The Carthage College men's swimming team (2-0 dual-meet record) defeated Lake Forest College, 153-97, on Friday, Nov. 5 at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wis.

The Red Men picked up wins from Ryan Ortmann (Jr., Woodstock, Ill.) in both the 50 freestyle (21.89) and the 100 freestyle (49.12), Kyle Drake (Sr., Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) in both the 200 backstroke (1:55.41) and the 1,000-freestyle (10:20.03), Doug Schranck (Jr., Alton, Ill./Marquette Catholic) in both the 100 butterfly (52.76) and the 200 butterfly (2:01.56), Bob Pellican (Sr., Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) in the 100 backstroke (54.43), Blake Bendix (Sr., St, Cloud, Minn./Tech) in the 200 freestyle (1:50.30) and Eric Ross (Jr., West Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) in the 500 freestyle (5:00.85).

The Red Men travel to Bloomington, Ill., on Saturday, Nov. 13 to take on Illinois Wesleyan University in a 1 p.m. dual meet at Fort Natatorium.
