2012:  Won both the 50 freestyle (21.05) and the 100 freestyle (46.16) at the CCIW Swimming Championship, while finishing fifth in the 100 butterfly (52.98)…part of a CCIW-championship 400 medley relay team that equaled a Carthage record.

2011:  Part of a 400 freestyle relay team that finished 20th the NCAA Division III Swimming Championship and a 400 medley team that finished 20th…Won both the 50 freestyle (21.08) and the 100 freestyle (46.13) at the CCIW Swimming Championship, while finishing ninth in the 100 butterfly (52.98)…part of conference-championship relay teams in both the 200 freestyle and the 400 freestyle…named CCIW “Men’s Swimmer of the Week” after winning two events against Hope College on Oct. 30.

2010:  Finished second in the 50 freestyle (21.30) and fourth in the 100 freestyle (47.45) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…part of a CCIW-championship relay teams in both the 200 freestyle and the 400 freestyle…won the 50 freestyle (meet-record 21.83) at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

2009:  A non-scoring entrant in the 50 freestyle at the CCIW Swimming Championship, and his time (21.89) in the event was the eighth-fastest at the meet…won the 50 freestyle at the Wisconsin Private College Championship…an NCAA “B” qualifier in the 200 freestyle relay.

High School:  Two-year member of the swimming team and coached by Ian Shanahan…in football, named All-Fox Valley Conference and Northwest Herald all-area as a senior…four-year member of the tennis team…coached by Joe Brasile for the Woodstock Dolphins club team.

Personal:  Marketing major…wide receiver on the 2008 Carthage football team…son of Mike and Tammy Ortmann…named to the spring 2011 Carthage dean’s list and to the fall 2010 Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born March 26, 1990.
