Dettwiler Named CCIW Setter of the Week

NAPERVILLE - Ava Dettwiler of the Carthage women's volleyball team has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Dettwiler, a junior from La Crosse, Wis., led the Firebirds offense with 145 assists over four games and 19 sets in the Firebirds opening week of the season. Dettwiler averaged 7.63 assists per set while also tallying 54 digs, 24 kills, 13 service aces, and eight total blocks.

The Firebirds will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 7 as the Firebirds host UChicago in Tarble Arena at 6 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
