NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Tayt Hager of the Carthage College men's golf team has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.

Hager, a senior from Geneseo, Illinois, led his team last week at the Firebird Fall Invite, tying for first place individually. Hager carded a two-round score of 139 (67-72), finishing seven under par at Ives Grove Golf Links in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. His opening-round 67 was the lowest round of the tournament and helped him finish tied at the top of the individual leaderboard. Carthage also competed in Como Crossings Intercollegiate 36 on Wednesday where they tied for first as a team overall. Tayt tied for sixth place with a score of 148, posting rounds of 76 and 72.
